Alabama defense stifles Blue Devils in season-opening win

Alabama’s defense didn’t look like it was starting two true freshmen at inside linebacker. It didn’t look like it had six new starters. And it didn’t look like it was missing its most athletic pass rusher. As it bottled up the Duke Blue Devils en route to a 42-3 win, it looked like a normal Alabama defense.

Though the team's season ended on April 6 at the Ann Arbor Regional, Armbrecht advanced as an individual event specialist on the floor exercise.The senior scored a 9.9125 on the final routine of her career, the fifth straight meet her floor routine earned a 9.9 or above.

Softball falls to Mississippi State in 10 innings

For the second time in three days, seven innings was not enough for fourth-ranked Alabama softball to dispatch Mississippi State. And for the first time in 344 days, the Crimson Tide (36-2 overall, 7-2 SEC) lost a game at home in Rhoads Stadium, falling 12-9 to the Bulldogs in the 10th.
