Alabama practiced at the Mal Moore Athletic Facility for the final time this spring on Thursday afternoon. The spring season will conclude on Saturday with the annual spring game. Here are our observations from the final practice period of the spring:

Freshman defensive lineman D.J. Dale was with first-team defensive ends LaBryan Ray and Raekwon Davis. Tevita Musika, Christian Barmore, Stephon Wynn Jr. and Phidarian Mathis were the second team. Wynn and Mathis later acted as offensive linemen while DL coach Brian Baker reminded Raekwon Davis what his assignment was based on how Wynn and Mathis moved.

Outside linebackers Terrell Lewis and Ben Davis were again both watching practice in black, non-contact jerseys, but neither was seen participating in drills.

OLB coach Sal Sunseri had one player simulate an opposing wide receiver going in motion before the snap and ensured that the rest of the OLBs knew their assignments in that situation.

Inside linebacker Ale Kaho was the seventh ILB in line. Freshman Shane Lee was fourth, behind Dylan Moses, Joshua McMillon and Markail Benton.

Coach Nick Saban will address the media at around 6 p.m. CT Thursday night.
