Alabama fell to Kentucky 78-53 in Lexington, Kentucky on Tuesday night.
Retin Obasohan scored a game-high 29 points and grabbed five rebounds in the loss. The team’s second highest scorer, Justin Coleman, finished with 8 points.
Alabama lost any early momentum it had when the team combined to shoot 6-of-23 from the field in the first half.
The Wildcats also dominated the boards and outrebounded the Crimson Tide 41-29. Dpnta Hall led Alabama with 8 rebounds.
Alabama (16-11, 7-8 SEC) now returns home to prepare for the team’s second annual showdown with instate rival Auburn on Saturday.
