The Crimson Tide coaching staff recognized nine players of the week following the team’s 41-23 victory over No. 9 Texas A&M.
Two of the players, running back Derrick Henry and defensive back Minkah Fitzpatrick, were also recognized by the SEC this week.
Quarterback Jake Coker was also selected to represent the offense this week. He finished the day 19-of-25 for 138 yards.
Three players were selected to represent the special teams unit. Kicker Adam Griffith went 2-for-2 on his field goal attempts on Saturday. Bradley Sylve and Maurice Smith added three tackles and three assists on tackles respectively.
Jonathan Allen, Reggie Ragland and Eddie Jackson rounded out the list. Ragland returned on the list after he led the team for the sixth time in seven games. He finished the game with nine tackles.
Allen picked up five total tackles including two sacks. Jackson finished with two interceptions for 119 return yards. One of his interceptions was returned 93 yards for a touchdown that went down as the third-longest pick-six in school history.
