The Crimson Tide coaching staff recognized 10 players this week after Alabama beat Georgia 38-10.
Four players represented the offense this week. Wide receiver Calvin Ridley and running back Derrick Henry were recognized after each one picked up over one hundred yards and a touchdown. Both players were also recognized by the SEC.
Quarterback Jake Coker and center Ryan Kelly were the other players selected to represent the offense this week. Coker completed 11-of-16 pass attempts for 190 yards and one touchdown.
Reggie Ragland was one of the defensive players honored this week. Ragland led the team, for the fourth time this season, with eight tackles. A’Shawn Robinson, five tackles, and Eddie Jackson, four tackles, also represented the defense this week. Jackson picked off his second pass this season, and returned it 50 yards for a score.
Minkah Fitzpatrick, Adam Griffith and Cyrus Jones represented the special teams unit this week. Griffith was honored for the third consecutive week after he made a 29-yard field goal to give him four consecutive successful kicks. Jones returned five punts for 53 yards, and one of his returns went for 23 yards which was a season best for him. Fitzpatrick blocked a punt and returned it for a touchdown.
