Alabama volleyball received 24 points in the preseason AVCA Top 25 poll. The Crimson Tide is nine spots out of the top 25 and is one of five SEC teams in the poll.
After receiving votes for the first time in program history, Alabama finished the season with nods from the voters. Last season, the team set a program record with 26 wins and won its first NCAA postseason match with a 3-2 win over Samford in the first round of last year’s tournament.
The Crimson Tide returns all of its starters from last year and begins the season Aug. 28 at the LBSU/CSUF Baden Invitational in Long Beach, California.
