This week, the Crimson Tide didn't just receive votes to be among the nation's elite programs, it was ranked inside the top-20 for the first time in program history, coming in at No. 18 in the US Rowing/CRCA week-one poll.

After losing to Kentucky by 18 points in the SEC tournament, Alabama narrowly missed the NCAA tournament when the 68-team field was revealed on Sunday. The Crimson Tide was the second team to not make the big dance.

Hemphill had a strong game at the plate. She went 3-for-4 with a home run and three RBIs. Her three-run home run in the bottom of the second helped wake up the offense after the Crimson Tide stranded the bases loaded in the first inning.

Women’s basketball beats Vanderbilt in first round of SEC

Alabama was led by senior Shaquera Wade, who scored a career-high 26 points shooting 9-of-17 from the field. Wade scored her 1,000th point, along with grabbing nine rebounds. Following her was sophomore Jasmine Walker with 22 points going 3-of-3 from behind the arc.

In the bottom of the fourteenth inning, Alabama baseball had a chance to walk off South Dakota State.Joe Breaux led off the inning with a double that hit the right-center field wall. He advanced to third on a Kolby Robinson bunt.

Softball stays undefeated

No. 5 Alabama improved to 21-0 after a victory over South Alabama, 5-2. The Crimson Tide struggled offensively  managing only seven hits.“I just think we need to compete a little harder, especially with two strikes” coach Patrick Murphy said. “Just don’t give in as easy. Compete your butt off and most of the time in softball and baseball, it is the competitor that gets the job done. It doesn’t have to be a pretty swing, I’d rather it be gritty than pretty.”

Alabama loses to Auburn after letting lead slip in second half

Once again, the Crimson Tide built a double-digit lead before halftime. Once again, the Crimson Tide let it slip away in the second half. Except this time, the crumbling loss stung even more, since the team on the other end of the comeback was Alabama’s fiercest rival, Auburn.
