Tennis wraps up week at ITA All-American Championships

The Alabama men’s and women’s tennis teams participated in the ITA All-American Championships last week in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The Alabama women’s players were eliminated in the pre-qualifying round, while the men’s players didn’t last past the second round in both singles and doubles.

Historically, the Alabama football team has been known for its ground-and-pound style of offensive production. In 2009 – the year that the Crimson Tide won its 13th national championship – Alabama averaged 215.1 rushing yards per game while averaging just 187.9 passing yards.

Despite slow start, Alabama hockey looks forward

The Frozen Tide currently has the toughest schedule its ever faced, due to fact that Alabama recently joined the Division 1 ranks of the American Collegiate Hockey Association, which is the highest level of collegiate club hockey in the country. The program had been a D3 member of the ACHA since the team’s inception in 2005, but decided to move up to D1 in 2015.
