Alabama was a tad more graceful to the Million Dollar Band this week, waiting until the third play to score its first touchdown of the game. Two weeks earlier against New Mexico State the Crimson Tide found the end zone on its first play of the drive. The band was not yet in its seats after its performance of the national anthem, as Henry Ruggs III sprinted past the Aggie defense for 75 yards to put Alabama up seven. Similar to the game against New Mexico State, Alabama ran away with the game winning 49-7.

Historically, the Alabama football team has been known for its ground-and-pound style of offensive production. In 2009 – the year that the Crimson Tide won its 13th national championship – Alabama averaged 215.1 rushing yards per game while averaging just 187.9 passing yards.
