An unidentified 26-year-old man was shot in the lower back outside of Rounders Bar at 12:39 a.m. Sunday morning. The condition of the victim, who is being treated at the DCH regional Medical Center, is currently unknown.
According to TuscaloosaNews.com, Kenneth Ikner, 37, and Tamarcus Ikner, 25, have been charged with attempted murder and first degree assault respectively. The two are being held in the Tuscaloosa County Jail with bond set at $60,000.
Originally believed to be the result of a drive-by shooting, after some investigation, Tuscaloosa Police have determined that the shooting was the result of a fight outside of Rounders Bar on The Strip.
In response to the shooting, Rounders tweeted the following statement:
“Sadly, there was a shooting tonight on the Strip; however, it was completely unrelated to us and didn’t involve any of our customers. We’d like to thank the Tuscaloosa Police Department and Campus PD for quickly arriving on the scene and keeping everyone safe.”
