Alabama is the eighth team to talk on SEC Media Days. Head coach Nick Saban will speak with junior wide receiver Calvin Ridley, senior offensive lineman Bradley Bozeman and junior defensive back Minkah Fitzpatrick.
Ridley comes back as the top receiver from a year ago. He finished with 769 yards on 72 receptions, which led the team. He also caught seven touchdowns.
Fitzpatrick finished fourth on the team in tackles with 66 total (41 solo, 25 assisted). He also finished with a team high six interceptions and tied for second on the team in pass breakups. He was named an All-American at the end of the season.
Bozeman started all 15 games at center, taking over for Ryan Kelly.
Alabama comes into its media day as one of the favorites, if not the favorite, to repeat as the SEC Champion for the third year in a row.
The Crimson Tide had 11 players drafted from its SEC Championship winning team a year ago, including underclassmen Cam Robinson, ArDarius Stewart and Marlon Humphrey.
Alabama will look for players to play a larger role to replace those players. Robert Foster will look to replace Stewart. Foster has 215 career receiving yards, but in the spring game he tallied 115 yards on two catches, one of which went for a touchdown. Freshman Jerry Jeudy will also look to play a large role in the offense. In his only game in front of the Alabama fan base, Jeudy recorded two touchdowns on five catches and racked up 134 receiving yards.
Nick Saban takes the podium at 9:05 a.m. while players are interviewed at 9:45 a.m.
