The University of Alabama women’s basketball team finalized its 2017-18 non-conference schedule on Tuesday.
The Crimson Tide’s first action will be an exhibition on Nov. 1 against the University of Antelope Valley. Nine days later the season tips off with Alabama A&M coming to town on Nov. 10. Alabama dominated the Bulldogs last year, winning 97-29.
The team will then welcome Utah (Nov. 13) and Jacksonville (Nov. 16) at home before hitting the road for its next five matchups.
On Nov. 19, Alabama will travel to Statesboro, Georgia, to play Georgia Southern. Last year, Alabama defeated the Golden Eagles in Tuscaloosa winning 66-48. The Crimson Tide will travel to Fajardo, Puerto Rico to face a pair of 2017 NCAA tournament teams in NC State and Elon.
Alabama will finish its road trip on Dec. 7 in Nashville against Lipscomb, completing its non-conference road slate. Last year, the Tide held Lipscomb scoreless in the first 17 minutes and 32 seconds and won that game, 82-35.
Alabama returns to Coleman Coliseum on Dec. 10 to take on Grambling State. The team will have a trio of games before breaking for the holidays, facing Southern Methodist University (Dec. 17), Missouri State (Dec. 19), and Murray State (Dec. 20). It will end its December schedule against Florida A&M, who the team beat 81-46 last season.
