The Alabama women’s golf team announced its 2017-2018 schedule on Tuesday.
The Crimson Tide starts it season with the Mason Rudolph Championship in Franklin, Tennessee which is the first of four fall tournaments the team will play. Alabama will also visit Norman, Oklahoma , Chapel Hill, North Carolina and Wilmington, North Carolina in the fall.
“I am excited about the quality of venues and the level of competition that we will see this year,” head coach Mic Potter said. “I am looking forward to getting started in September, and excited to see what the 2017-2018 team can accomplish.”
The Crimson Tide starts its spring season on Feb. 11 in the Northrop Grumman Regional Challenge. The challenge will be held in Palos Verdes Estates, California. This is the fourth consecutive year the Crimson Tide will participate in the event.
Alabama will finish its season on three straight SEC-held tournaments. The team’s first tournament is the Darius Rucker Intercollegiate tournament. This will be the seventh time that Alabama plays in the tournament. Overall, Alabama has won the tournament four times and has won the last two years.
The Crimson Tide will also face Auburn (March 18-20) and Georgia (April 13-15) to wrap up its regular season.
The SEC Championship will be held from April 18-22. Alabama finished tied for second last year, finishing 13 strokes behind Florida in the event.
