Alabama football got back to work on the practice field after its first scrimmage. The team spent its tenth spring practice outside under clear skies. Here are the sites and sounds from the media viewing period.
NOTES:
- Jared Mayden (hip) was actually running through drills today. In previous practices, he would work off to the side rehabbing his injury. Today, he joined the defensive backs in drills.
- Alabama continued it’s secondary look from Saturday. Trevon Diggs lined up at cornerback opposite of Anthony Averett with Minkah Fitzpatrick at safety. In the dime package, Hootie Jones was the sixth defensive back.
- Jalen Hurts and Tua Tagovailoa worked directly with the receivers. During this time, Mac Jones practiced handoffs with the running backs.
- While going through drills, Calvin Ridley led the outside receiver group. He was followed by Robert Foster then Jerry Jeudy.
- As far as linebackers go, Rahsaan Evans led the inside group, while Christian Miller led the outside group. Shaun Dion Hamilton continued to rehab his knee off to the side with a trainer.
