Former Alabama football player and current Buffalo Bill Marcell Dareus announced on Saturday that he will enter rehab. His decision comes after he was found in violation of the NFL’s substance abuse policy and given a four-game suspension.
“After careful consideration of recent events within my life, I have made the decision to enter a rehabilitation facility,” Dareus said in a release posted on the Bills website. “I feel this is the best decision for me, my family and my teammates as I move forward with my career. I appreciate the support of my teammates and the Bills organization through this process.”
The Bills also released a statement that said the team is supportive of Dareus’ decision and encourages to take the time he needs to seek treatment.
