The University of Alabama football team practiced indoors today for the first time in fall camp, as the threat of lingering rain showers kept the team under cover.
Players, coaches, and media were joined at practice by several men affiliated with NFL teams, as they observed practice. Teams represented included the Cleveland Browns and the Arizona Cardinals.
Additional Practice Notes:
- Running backs participated in agility and footwork drills in two lines, one led by Bo Scarbrough and BJ Emmons, and the other led by Damien Harris and Avery Reid.
- The offensive lineman practiced their agility and burst in a drill with groups of three. Cam Robinson, Ross Pierschbacher, and Jonah Williams led the drill, with Bradley Bozeman, J.C. Hassenauer, and Korren Kirven in the second line.
- The quarterbacks warmed up by practicing roll outs, with Cooper Bateman, Blake Barnett, and Jalen Hurts throwing. They threw to the wide receivers and tight ends. Barnett had several notable throws, including one to Robert Foster and another to O.J. Howard.
- The wide receivers participated in an agility and catching drill, led by Calvin Ridley, ArDarius Stewart, Cam Sims, Gehrig Dieter, and Robert Foster.
- The defensive backs worked with Coach Saban on coverage drills. Minkah Fitzpatrick and Marlon Humphrey worked in a pair, and Anthony Averett and Kendall Sheffield worked in another pair.
- Inside linebackers worked on footwork, with one line led by Reuben Foster and Keaton Anderson, and the other led by Shaun Dion Hamilton and Rashaan Evans.
