On Friday, Alabama’s football team returned to practice for the second straight day of fall camp.
Ryan Anderson and Tim Williams led some of their fellow linebackers through drills designed to improve footwork and test their focus. Coaches tossed footballs to the players during the drill while shouting “we lead the SEC in turnovers for a reason.”
Additional Practice Notes:
- Bo Scarbrough and Damien Harris took the one and two spot respectively as running backs completed drills carrying two footballs to help them work on ball security.
- Jonathan Allen again worked with Da’Ron Payne and Dalvin Tomlinson as the defensive line worked in groups of three against blocking sleds.
- The offensive line also worked with blocking sleds for a portion of practice before moving on to other drills. Left tackle Cam Robinson worked alongside Lester Cotton (left guard), Ross Pierschbacher (center), Bradley Bozeman (right guard) and Jonah Williams (right tackle).
- The quarterbacks worked with tight ends during the middle of the media viewing period, Cooper Bateman and Blake Barnett worked with a line led by tight end O.J. Howard while quarterbacks David Cornwell and Jalen Hurts worked with the rest of the tight ends.
- When the quarterbacks through passes to wide receivers Calvin Ridley led Bateman and Barnett’s line while ArDarius Stewart led Cornwell and Hurts’ line.
