The Alabama women’s basketball program announced on Tuesday that freshman guard Trista Magee will sit out the rest of the 2015-2016 campaign due to a hip injury. Magee, who missed the first couple of games to another injury, played in 19 of Alabama’s 24 games this season.
In her appearances, Magee averaged 13.7 minutes, 2.0 points and 1.4 rebounds per game. Magee connected on 100 percent of her free throws on the season.
Alabama has already lost multiple players to injury, including junior Ashley Williams for the whole season and freshman Taylor Doan to a career-ending injury. Magee was in the rotation in the backcourt for the team, and her injury means Alabama loses another three-point threat.
