The Alabama women’s basketball team made a trip out to Lawrence, Kansas, over the weekend for the Women’s Hall of Fame Challenge. The Crimson Tide collected a sweep, winning all three games it played.
Alabama now hopes to carry some of the momentum built up over the weekend against Alabama A&M Wednesday night at Foster Auditorium.
“It’s time for a new week,” coach Kristy Curry said. “You don’t have much time to enjoy it. You just focus on the next one.”
Alabama will try to turn around its fortunes at Foster Auditorium and pick up its first home victory of the season. Wednesday will kick off a large home stretch of nine out of 10 games.
“We need to grow up at home as well,” Curry said. “We need to find the same sort of aggressive mentality at home and toughness, and just continue to take the weekend into this week and build on it.”
Curry said she wants the team to get better at home, especially before the big home stretch. Tipoff is at 6 p.m.
