After sweeping a double-header against Arkansas Saturday by a combined 13 runs, the Alabama softball team needed a comeback to sweep the series Sunday in Fayetteville, Ark.
With a 5-1 lead heading into the bottom of the fifth, Alabama gave up five runs and found itself down 6-5 with the Razorbacks holding all the momentum. The Tide quickly regrouped and scored two runs with two outs in the sixth and added a home run in the seventh to earn the 8-6 win and keep its hopes alive for an Southeastern Conference title.
With the win, the Crimson Tide extends its winning streak to 15 games and improves to 39-9 on the season and 18-4 in SEC play.
Alabama will return home for a single game contest against Georgia Tech Wednesday at 6 p.m. at the Alabama Softball Complex.
