This week the department of theatre and dance will present “Big River,” an on-stage adaptation of Mark Twain’s classic novel “The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn.” The plot follows Huck Finn as he helps his friend Jim, a slave, gain his freedom by reaching the mouth of the Ohio River.
Shows will take place in the Marian Gallaway Theatre in Rowand-Johnson Hall at 7:30 p.m. today through Saturday.
Tickets are $18 for adults; $15 for seniors, faculty and staff and $12 for students. Tickets can be purchased online at theatre.ua.edu or by visiting the box office during regular business hours, Monday-Thursday from 12-5 p.m. and Friday from 12-4 p.m.
