Why: Honor societies who are a part of The Coordinating Council for Honor Societies (CCHS) commit to host at minimum 3 events per year for their membership that focus on either leadership, civic engagement, or community service.
Rosalind Moore-Miller, director of undergraduate and graduate student involvement, said students who participate in these societies “enhance their experience” during their time at the University.
“Celebrating achievement through honor society membership is the pinnacle way to chronicle a student’s academic, leadership, and service accomplishments while at The University of Alabama,” Moore-Miller said.
“Through honor society acceptance, students will have access to a group of like-minded peers who are interested in achieving excellence. Additionally, honor societies offer opportunities for career networking, scholarships, and leadership advancement opportunities.”
