What: “How to Navigate the Medical School Application Process with Dr. Dan Avery and Dr. Hayden Swecker.”

Who: The Office for Undergraduate research and the Honors College presents this kick-off lecture to the series on how to apply to The University of Alabama Medical School.

The speakers, Dr. Dan Avery and Hadyn Swecker, admission directors for the medical school at The University of Alabama, will help interested students understand what they need to apply and what admissions officers are looking for. 

When: Monday, Nov. 6, 5:30 – 7 p.m. 

Where: Ferguson Student Center Great Hall

Why:  “I think students make many assumptions about the medical school application process, and the hope is that after hearing from the two speakers, students who have an interest in applying to medical school will know more about what they need to do now to be ready for the next step,” said Kim Bissell, associate dean for research.
