WHAT: Spanish Language Tours at the Alabama Museum of Natural History.
Guided tours of the museum will be given in Spanish for families whose first language is Spanish. Attendees will learn about natural resources in Alabama.
WHO: The event is presented by the University of Alabama Crossroads Community Center and the Alabama Museum of Natural History
The guided tours, as well as most of the events part of Hispanic Latino Heritage Month, are both free and open to the general public.
WHEN: Saturday, Sept. 23 from 11 a.m. – noon.
WHERE: Alabama Museum of Natural History, Smith Hall
WHY: “The tour is for Spanish families so that they can learn about the natural history museum,” said Marissa Alayna Navarro, head of this year’s Hispanic Latino Heritage Month celebration. “It’s meant to let them experience the museum in their native language.”
