What: BUY for RISE Charity Sale, which is the RISE Center’s second largest fundraiser, raises money to provide therapy for children with special needs.
Event attendees will have the opportunity to purchase new items from over 75 different local retailers for significant discounts.
RISE, which is part of the College of Human and Environmental Sciences, is a preschool on campus that serves children with disabilities, as well as their typically developing peers.
Who: The RISE Center will be hosting the fundraiser which is open to all ticketholders.
Tickets for the preview night and silent auction will be available in advance for $10. Tickets for the general sale, from 8-11 a.m. on Sept. 23, will be $15 at the door.
When: Fundraiser takes places Sept. 22 and 23.

Why: “RISE is able to provide services, such as physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech and language therapy and music therapy, to children with special needs at no cost to the family,” Bailey Chambers, assistant director, told UA News. “We’re able to do that with help from our local community partners, local merchants and those who attend this event.”
