With Hurricane Irma set to impact the Tuscaloosa area, the University said in an email Sunday evening that it currently has no plans to close.
“Campus officials will continue to monitor weather conditions tonight and tomorrow,” part of the statement read.
In the case of a tornado warning, students on campus should find the nearest storm shelter or best available refuge area. The University will notify students of a warning via phone call or text message alerts and emails to students and faculty.
