Alabama football held its final practice of preseason on Saturday in helmets and shorts. The Crimson Tide will use this week to prepare for its first opponent, Florida State. Here are the sights and sounds from the media viewing period.
Notes:
- Josh Jacobs (hamstring) returned to practice and was participating in some drills. Even though he returned, he was still fourth in the rotation of running backs.
- There was a slight shake up in the secondary as Trevon Diggs appeared to share some reps with Levi Wallace.
- Alabama kept the same starting offensive line of Jonah Williams-Ross Pierschbacher-Bradley Bozeman-Lester Cotton-Matt Womack.
- Linebacker Rashaan Evans ran some drills with the outside linebackers. Evans is a versatile player who will most likely start at the inside position, but will hold pass rushing responsibilities in third-down situations.
- The first group of defensive lineman was Raekwon Davis, Da’ron Payne and Da’shawn Hand. Payne appears to be the leader among the group as he was explaining drills and coaching some of the younger players during the viewing.
