The College of Communication and Information Sciences and the Career Center have collaborated to bring students an opportunity to provide resources and networking opportunities for students seeking jobs in various communications fields.

WHAT: Each fall and spring, the Career Center at the university holds a career fair to present students with the opportunities of available internships and full-time positions.
“Start the day in the room of your chosen panel, then check in at the Career Center [Ferguson 3400] for Career Connections. Mock interview spaces are limited, so schedule in advance by logging into CrimsonCareers,” a letter to students stated.
WHEN: The events will take place on Tuesday, March 7 from 1-4 p.m. Industry panels begin at 1 p.m., and one-on-one interactions between students and industry professionals will take place from 2-4 p.m..
WHERE: A panel discussion for creative and news media will be in room 3108 of the Ferguson Center. A panel for advertising and public relations will be in room 3700. Following the panels, the resume reviewers and mock interviews will take place in room 3400.
WHY: The purpose of the event is for students to learn about industry and hiring trends, to network with professionals in their fields and the opportunity to make relationships with local and state-wide employers.
Other career-related events are coming up, including a career chat on etiquette in the Career Center on Friday, March 31 and a career chat on managing career readiness competencies on Friday, April 12.
