Film fanatics rejoice as Tide Talks, The University of Alabama’s student-run speaker-based event organizer, has joined arms with the Black Warrior Film Festival for the first time ever to bring the University four diverse speakers eager to share their thoughts and insights on making movies.
The event’s VIP speaker is Daniel Scheinert, who co-wrote and co-directed Swiss Army Man, which stars Daniel Radcliffe and Paul Dano. The event will be followed by a screening of the film.
WHAT: BWFF & Tide Talks present: Screen to Stage
WHO: Tide Talks and the Black Warrior Film Festival are co-hosting an event open to all University of Alabama community members.

WHERE: Ferguson Student Center Theater
WHY: “I’m proud that these two dynamic groups on campus have been able to come together to create such a unique event for students,” said Tide Talks President Lauren Crawford. “Not only will we have two UA students talking about their experiences and interests related to film, we will be hosting the director/writer of Swiss Army Man and screening his movie for free following his talk.”
