Featuring storytelling and a tasting of selected dishes, Creative Campus, a student-centered advocacy organization dedicated to providing a voice for cultural arts around campus, will host a presentation to showcase southern foods and discuss their impact on the community.
In preparation for the event, Creative Campus’ Twitter account has been tweeting their favorite dishes, including sweet tea, fried catfish and collard greens.
WHAT: “A Taste of Alabama” will be a showcase of food, storytelling and performances, with a discussion on the significance of local cuisines through favorite recipes.
WHO: The event is free and open to the public.
WHEN: Monday, March 27 at 7 p.m.
WHERE: Ferguson Student Center Theater
WHY: “Check out these comfort foods from around the world and then come hear about Alabama’s comfort food at A Taste of Alabama on Monday,” Creative Campus tweeted.
Not only will students hear about the foods, but following the presentation, there will be a tasting of highlighted dishes in the Great Hall.
