APR students to host eBay Gameday

WHAT: eBay Gameday

Those at the Gameday will participate in a survey created by advertising and public relations students regarding whether or not they would support an eBay campus tab. Such a tab would be geared toward selling tickets for sporting events, textbooks, etc.

Those who participate or create an eBay account in the survey will get free food.

WHO: Chimes Management, a public relations organization comprised of students in APR 433, Public Relations Campaign class, and University Programs.

WHEN: Friday, March 25, 3 – 6:30 p.m.

WHERE: Outside of the student section at Thomas-Sewell Stadium.

WHY: Chimes Management decided to create a Gameday event in order to help eBay target SEC college students. They said they felt Alabama’s baseball game against Tennessee would be a great opportunity to do just that.

Paige Barnes, Chimes Management member and a senior majoring in public relations, said she feels students should choose eBay over competitor sites for a multitude of reasons, like payment safety and a large, multinational database.
