The University of Alabama will host a parade on Saturday, Jan. 19, to honor the 2012 Alabama BCS National Championship football team.
The parade will start at 1:30 p.m. at the corner of University Blvd. and Second Ave.
Participants will include head coach Nick Saban, players and staff from the 2012 team, Director of Athletics Mal Moore along with other dignitaries and special guests.
The parade will conclude with the Walk of Champions and a ceremony on the top steps of the North Endzone, emceed by Eli Gold.
“This is a pretty quick turnaround, but our fans have always been great about coming out and showing their appreciation for the hard work and the sacrifices these young men have made,” Saban said. “We’re really excited about having a great turnout to honor this team.”
