Former Alabama standout cornerback Marlon Humphrey was arrested for third-degree robbery, according to the Sheriff of Tuscaloosa County’s office.

Third-degree robbery is a class C felony in Alabama. Here is how it is defined by state law: 

“He/she uses force against the person of the owner of the property or any person present with intent to overcome that person’s physical resistance or physical power of resistance; or (2) he/she threatens the imminent use of force against the person of the owner of the property or any person present with intent to compel acquiescence to the taking of or escaping with the property.”

Humphrey reportedly posted a $2,500 bail and is out of jail at this time. 

Humphrey played for Alabama from 2013-2015. He was a first-round draft pick in the 2017 NFL draft by the Baltimore Ravens. He went 17th overall. In his rookie season, Humphrey recorded 34 tackles and two interceptions.

He is the second former Alabama player to be arrested in January, with Reuben Foster being booked on a marijuana charge earlier this month.
