Alabama basketball lost to Ole Miss on the road, 78-66, to end its four-game winning streak in the SEC. The Crimson Tide fell to 13-7 overall and 5-3 in SEC play on the season.
Alabama fell behind early, but managed to string together a quick 18-0 run midway through the first half to regain the lead. The Rebels responded to that run with an 23-4 run to end the first half with a 10-point lead.
Alabama managed to cut the Ole Miss lead to just one point to start the second half, but the Rebels once again responded. Ole Miss would then cruise to its 12-point victory. With the win, Ole Miss improved to 11-9 this season.
Freshman guard Collin Sexton returned from an abdominal injury. He played 20 minutes for Alabama, but struggled for most of the night. He finished with seven points on 2-of-13 shooting.
Junior Donta Hall led Alabama in scoring with 14 points. He missed just one shot, going 6-of-7 from the floor. He also had seven rebounds,
Junior guard Dazon Ingram was the only other player to score in double figures. He tallied 10 points as well as a team-high eight rebounds in the win.
