Alabama sustained a lot of injuries in what Nick Saban called a “costly win” against LSU on Saturday. Saban gave injury updates on two of those players in his noon press conference on Monday.
Fitzpatrick went down twice in the game against LSU with a hamstring injury. Fitzpatrick would go back in the game on third down and play the money position. In base defense, however, he remained limited and stayed on the sideline.
Saban said Fitzpatrick will not practice today, but should be able to go tomorrow for practice.
Mack Wilson, an important linebacker, has a foot injury and will be out 4-6 weeks, according to Saban.
“We will have to play it by ear and see how fast it heals,” Saban said.
Saban also gave an update on linebacker Shaun Dion Hamilton, who will miss the rest of the season with a fractured knee cap.
“This is something he’ll be able to respond to in a few months,” Saban said.
Hamilton had successful surgery. He also missed the latter portion of his junior season with a torn ACL.
