Men's golf still tied for 11th at SEC Championship after day two

Men's golf still tied for 11th at SEC Championship after day two

The University of Alabama men’s golf team shot a 292 on day two of the SEC Championship. The Crimson Tide now finds itself tied for 11th overall with a team score of 596. It shot a 294 on day one.

Freshman Davis Riley led the team on day two, shooting a 1-over par 71. He finds himself in a tie for 15th individually. Junior Robby Shelton added a second-round 72 and senior Tom Lovelady shot a 73, both are tied for 33rd at 7-over par 147. Junior Dru Love shot a 78, tying himself at 54th with his overall 151, while sophomore Jonathon Hardee fired a second-round 76 to place him in 69th place with his overall 156.

Kentucky is still in the lead after shooting a second-round 289. Georgia, Texas A&M, Arkansas and Auburn make up the rest of the top five after day two.

The Crimson Tide will compete in the third and final round on Sunday and will be paired with South Carolina and Missouri. They’ll tee off at 8 a.m. CT on Hole No. 10.
