Graduate students are sprinkled all around campus, across departments and jobs and classes. That spread makes for variety and diversity of interests among grad students—but it also makes it difficult for them to organize. These Graduate Student Union leaders are doing what they can to bridge the gaps among them.

Amid the coronavirus pandemic, the cancellation of UA-sponsored travel and some affiliate programs has affected UA students and faculty, causing some to cut their trips short and others to re-evaluate their academic plans.

Reggae Flava to bring Jamaican cuisine to Downtown Tuscaloosa

Reggae Flava, a food truck that has provided traditional Jamaican meals for Tuscaloosa locals for the past year, will be setting up shop in Downtown Tuscaloosa.  The permanent restaurant, which will exist in addition to the food truck, is scheduled to open in April.

ACTheatre debuts satirical ‘Urinetown’

"Urinetown," a self-aware and grotesque musical satire, is coming to Tuscaloosa County. The Actor’s Charitable Theatre, a community theatre group located in Northport, will premiere the musical on Feb. 6.
