Former Tide cornerback Dre Kirkpatrick was charged with marijuana possession in Manatee County, Fla. Tuesday morning, according to the Manatee County Sheriff Office’s website. Kirkpatrick was charged at 12:48 a.m. for possession of less than 20 grams of marijuana.
Former Tide defensive back Chris Rogers, who played from 2005 to 2009, was arrested at the same time on the same charge, according to the police website.
Kirkpatrick recently declared his candidacy for the NFL Draft. He was a 2-year starter for the Tide and a 2nd-team All-American during the Tide’s 2011 championship-winning season.
The Crimson White will have more as the story develops.
