A curfew will be instituted at 8 p.m. in the affected areas of Tuscaloosa.
“If you see damage, you are affected by the curfew,” said Tracy Croom, Tuscaloosa city clerk. “Where it’s dark and there are no light, we are having a lot of movement where people are walking. We’re trying to get people to shelter. Walking makes them susceptible to crime.”
The UA campus is exempt from the curfew, but police will set up checkpoints and ticket drivers who are on the road in the affected areas after curfew, she said.
