Alabama kicked off its final week of spring practice with a fully padded outdoor practice on Tuesday afternoon. Just one practice period remains before A-Day on Saturday. Here are our observations from the team’s 13th practice period of the spring:

After right tackle Jedrick Wills Jr. left Saturday’s scrimmage with what coach Nick Saban called a sprained ankle, the offensive line had to shift again. The unit has already had to manage an injury to fifth-year senior Matt Womack and Deonte Brown’s suspension for the first four games of the fall. On Tuesday the first-team O-line appeared to be Alex Leatherwood, Emil Ekiyor Jr., Chris Owens, Deonte Brown and Womack.

Tight end Kedrick James was back practicing with the group after being absent from the scrimmage on Saturday. Miller Forristall and redshirt freshman Michael Parker were the first pair to go through blocking drills, as Major Tennison was also absent.

True freshman inside linebacker Shane Lee was with Markail Benton in the second ILB pair. That’s the first time he’s worked there this spring, at least during the media’s viewing period. Dylan Moses and Joshua McMillon remained the first pair, and Ale Kaho and Jaylen Moody were the third pair.

Outside linebackers Terrell Lewis and Ben Davis were both present at practice. Davis participated in some team drills but Lewis did not, as he continues to rehab the ACL injury he suffered last summer.

The cornerbacks practiced ball skills in pairs, with one acting as a wide receiver. The pairs were Patrick Surtain II and Trevon Diggs, Josh Jobe and Nigel Knott, and Jalyn Armour-Davis and Scooby Carter.

The team will practice at the team facility for the final time this spring on Thursday before ending the spring season in Bryant-Denny Stadium on Saturday at 1 p.m. CT.
