Alabama dropped the second game of its series against Arkansas on Saturday afternoon, 3-0, at at Bogle Park to even the weekend series.
Alabama (26-12, 7-7 SEC) collected just four hits on the day and could not push across any runs. Sydney Booker led off the game with a first pitch single, but that was the extent of the damage from the Alabama offense.
The Arkansas (32-9, 7-7 SEC) offense did most of its damage in the second inning, scoring two runs to jump ahead and never looking back.
Alabama starter Courtney Gettins pitched a complete six innings, allowing three runs (two earned) on four hits. She struck out three and walked two. The two walks led to two Razorback runs in the second inning, as both scored without Arkansas recording a hit in the inning.
The Crimson Tide will go for the series victory on Sunday, as the teams conclude the series with a 1 p.m. game.
