What: Great Campus Write-In
When: Monday, April 9 from 1-4 p.m.
Where: Room 205 Gorgas Library
Why: The Great Campus Write-In serves to provide an open space and resources for students to write.
Students who need help with their writer’s block, papers or other assignments can drop by the Great Campus Write-In on Monday. Sponsored by the University Writing Center and University Libraries, students can get help from writing tutors and librarians.
Sara Whitver, associate professor and Coordinator of Library Instruction, said this event is meant to give students a space to write without feeling alone and provide stress relief, as well as provide resources for those who need assistance with their writing.
“Everybody is in the middle of writing research papers at this time in the semester, and it can be hard to get an appointment at The Writing Center at this time of year,” Whitver said. “It’s a convenient time period where people can set a little bit of time aside and get a little bit of writing done.”
Students can go to Room 205 in Gorgas Library on April 9 from 1-4 p.m. for a place to write with others, get assistance and have free snacks.
