Alabama basketball freshman Collin Sexton earned SEC Co-Freshman Player of the Year, the league office announced on Tuesday. Sexton is just the second player in Alabama history to earn the award with Mo Williams being recognized in 2002.
In addition to being player of the year, Sexton made the All-SEC second team and the All-SEC freshman team. Sexton ended the regular season second in the league in scoring. He led Alabama in the category with 18.3 points per game.
