What: Landing Internships.
An opportunity to learn about internship options and how to apply for them.
Who: The event is open to all students. Kristi Wheeler-Griffin, manager of experiential learning at the University, will be leading the event.
When: Monday, Nov. 13 from 12-1 p.m.
Where: The Career Center, located on the third floor of the Ferguson Center.
Why: The purpose of the event is to provide students with more information about internship options, as well as how to apply.
“Experiential learning is important because students are going to need a full resumé when they graduate” Griffin said. “…Those opportunities often come in the form of jobs and internships—these opportunities prepare students for a smooth transition into the world of work when they graduate. They build skills that are considered professional competencies, skills that should be built incrementally beginning freshman year.
