Sunday morning a Hillsborough, North Carolina Republican Party office was bombed. In response the Republican Party is calling it “political terrorism.”

In addition to fire damage, perpetrators also spray-painted the phrase “Nazi Republicans get out of town or else,” and a swastika was spray painted on an 
adjacent building.

“The office itself is a total loss,” said Dallas Woodhouse, head of the state Republican Party. “The only thing important to us is that nobody was killed, and they very well could have been.”

The only information that has been released is that a flammable liquid was used as the bomb.

“This highly disturbing act goes far beyond vandalizing property,” said Hillsborough Mayor Tom Stevens. “It willfully threatens our community’s safety … and its hateful message undermines decency, respect and integrity in 
civic participation.”

Republican Nominee Donald Trump wrote on Twitter, “Animals representing Hillary Clinton and Dems in North Carolina just firebombed our office in Orange County because we are winning @NCGOP.”

The Clinton Campaign immediately countered with a tweet condemning the act.

“The attack on the Orange County HQ @NCGOP office is horrific and unacceptable,” the campaign said. “Very grateful that everyone is safe.”
