After being cancelled last week due to bad weather, the skies look all clear for this Friday’s Live at the Plaza show featuring The LaGoons. But that’s not the only music in town in the upcoming days. Here’s the weekend band scene.
Tarred and Feathered at Southern Ale House – Cover band Tarred and Feathered will perform on Thursday night at Southern Ale House. The free show starts at 6 p.m.
Universal Sigh at Green Bar – Rock quartet Universal Sigh will play at Green Bar on Thursday beginning at 10 p.m. Tickets to the show cost $5 and doors open at 8 p.m.
Mojo Trio at Rhythm and Brews – Rhythm and Brews will welcome Mojo Trio on Friday night for an early show. The free performance starts at 6:30 p.m.
The LaGoons at Government Plaza – This Friday’s Live at the Plaza band will be The LaGoons, a rock band formed in Tuscaloosa. The free show at Government Plaza will start at 6 p.m. After their performance, The LaGoons will perform again at Heat Pizza Bar starting at 10 p.m. The second show show will also be free.
King’s German Legion at Alcove International Tavern – Tuscaloosa-based rock group King’s German Legion will perform at Alcove International Tavern on Friday night. The free show is 21 and up and starts at 10:30 p.m.
BJ Miller and Mack Davis Jr and Mixed Company Blues Band at Band of Brothers Brewing Company – Blues and jazz duo BJ Miller and Mack Davis will be at Band of Brothers Brewing Company on Friday night with their Mixed Company Blues Band. The show will start at 7 p.m.
Needle Points with Katzonphyre at Green Bar – Psychedelic Boogie group Needle Points and psychedelic rock group Katzonphyre will both perform Friday night at Green Bar. The free show is ages 19 and up. Doors open at 8 p.m. and the music will start at 10:30.
Jason Miller Band at Rhythm and Brews – Jason Miller Band, a country group from Mississippi, will be at Rhythm and Brews Saturday night starting at 10 p.m.
Earl “Guitar” Williams and The Juke Band at Band of Brothers Brewing Company – Bessemer blues musician Earl “Guitar” Williams and his band will perform Saturday night at Band of Brothers Brewing Company. The free show starts at 7 p.m.
Choir of Babble at Green Bar – Rock band Choir of Babble will take the stage at Green Bar on Saturday night. The free show is ages 19 and up. Doors open at 8 p.m. and the music starts at 10:30.
