The University of Alabama is outsourcing some of its efforts to bring in top talent for its new diversity-boosting Strategic Plan. Among those components being outsourced are key consulting and research aspects of the implementation of new policies.
On Aug. 11, the University set out to find a qualified candidate to fill the specific position of leading the inclusivity effort as a part of the new Strategic Plan. To find the right candidate, UA President Stuart Bell and his Strategic Planning Council hired The Desir Group, a firm that focuses on finding diverse executives.
According to its website, The Desir Group describes itself as “a consultative firm with offices in Houston, Atlanta and Chicago, offering a highly personalized approach to executive search, culture transformation, performance management and turnarounds.”
