Former-UA president Judy Bonner has been named provost of Mississippi State University, according to a report by The Tuscaloosa News.
Bonner left her position as president of The University of Alabama in July 2015 and took a year’s sabbatical. Prior to her appointment as president in 2012, she served as the provost for the university.
“Dr. Bonner had many great accomplishments at The University of Alabama while she was provost and president,” UA communications specialist Richard LeComte said in a statement. “We wish her all the best in her new position at Mississippi.”
Bonner will take her office at Mississippi State on July 1.
