The Ferguson Center Theater will host to the Women and Gender Resource Center as they present LUNAFEST Film Festival.
The goal of the event this Wednesday is to recognize woman film makers, raise money for the Breast Cancer Fund, and teach those in attendance about women’s issues. Presentations will be given as well, and time will be set aside for people to get to know one another.
Films shown during the evening will deal with an array of topics. One is the story of a deaf womens’ trials and tribulations as she battles breast cancer. Another dives into the lives of two-mixed race sisters, who in their own family, are seen as outsiders.
Food will be provided by Taziki’s. Ticket prices are $15 for general admission, $12 for UA faculty and staff and $10 for UA students.
