The SGA Elections Board does not have any plans to suspend or alter the elections process in response to potential severe weather, said Kelli Knox-Hall, a non-voting staff member and convenor of the Elections Board.
“That is something that we’re still monitoring at this time,” Knox-Hall said. “I don’t anticipate [the election] stopping, but that’s something that we’ll just have to keep monitoring with the University administration.”
Knox-Hall said candidates have been urged to take down any tables or tents they have set up on campus in advance of inclement weather as a safety precaution.
“It’s just for the safety of those student and of others,” she said.
